Dragonscale Boon

Two +1/+1 counters at four mana is a flat rate for a pump effect, but the untap rider is what earns the spell its slot and pushes it past a simple instant-speed buff into a combat-and-blocking trick. Reset a creature's tapped state and you change which windows the spell lives in: cast it on an attacker that has already swung and it stands back up to block, or untap a defender mid-combat to ambush a second attacker. The permanence of the counters separates it from a one-turn boost; the growth stays after the turn ends, so the tempo swing and the body's size are bundled into a single card. It rewards a build organized around one threat you want to keep alive and keep swinging, the green creature that wants to be both the offense and the wall. The untap also functions as combat-math denial: an opponent who taps your blocker out of the way with a forced-attack or tap effect finds that math undone for four mana at instant speed. Nothing here reaches high power, but the design is more pointed than "make a creature bigger," and the untap is the line that lifts it above a generic counter-pump.
