Delirium found its ideal vessel here: a red one-drop that grows on the same cheap spells a spellslinger deck already runs, feeding its own graveyard as it goes. Every noncreature spell surveils, and that surveil does double duty. It is selection disguised as fuel, so the card you dig for on your next turn also pushes you closer to four card types in the yard. Reach delirium and the small body swells into an evasive threat that must swing every combat, and that mandatory-attack clause is the tax on the deal: it locks the creature into combat regardless of the board, favoring proactive tempo sequencing over patient defense.
Earlier red one-drops that scaled with the graveyard demanded a pitch or a sacrifice to grow; this one climbs off its own surveil trigger and a stocked yard, no extra cost attached. That compression is the threat: a single card that is both the payoff and part of the machine that switches it on. In a deck of thin instants and sorceries, the actions that develop your hand are the same ones assembling the flying clock, and once assembled it keeps attacking while the spells keep flowing. One mana buys a selection engine early and an evasive finisher late, all without spending a slot on anything you were not already casting.
