Dragon Wings

Enchantment — Aura1 generic manaBlue mana

Auras have always carried a structural liability: pay mana, commit a card to a creature, and watch a single removal spell collect a two-for-one. This one answers that fear twice over. The cycling cost matches the casting cost exactly, so when no creature on the board wants flying yet, the Aura is never a dead slot: discard it for a fresh card and move on. But the discard is not the end of the line. The graveyard clause turns the cycled card into a deferred payoff, waiting for a heavy enough creature to land before snapping itself onto that body for free. The two effects describe a single arc of play: cycle early to dig toward your expensive threats, then return the Aura to give the eventual fatty evasion at no further cost. The threshold on the trigger is the tell about who this was built for. It is not a generic combat aid but a component of a deck assembling a large top end, where the Aura's first life as a cantrip and its second life as recursion both serve the same plan. The result is an unusual inversion of the type's instincts: an Aura that actively wants to reach the graveyard, where the disposability that normally makes the card type a liability becomes the precondition for its return.
