Dowsing Shaman

Creature — Centaur Shaman4 generic manaGreen mana

Recursion handed to a creature as a tap ability was an unusual job, and pointing it at enchantments specifically narrows the use case to decks willing to treat enchantments as a renewable resource. The shape is a repeatable engine: pay three, buy back any enchantment in your graveyard, do it again next turn. That cadence rewards a board built on enchantments worth dying and returning, the kind of control shell stocked with Pacifism effects, enchantment-based removal, or value auras that want to be cast more than once. The 3/4 body is the quiet reason the engine ever survives a turn: it blocks well enough to grind, and grinding is precisely the texture in which slow recursion pays off. The cost structure, not the timing, is what stops the loop from turning oppressive. The tap returns the enchantment to hand instead of the battlefield, so you still have to recast whatever you got back, and each cycle pays mana twice. Mind the order of operations the engine demands: the Shaman only reaches an enchantment after it has already hit your graveyard, so it rebuilds after a board wipe rather than answering one (and if the wrath catches the Shaman too, there is nothing to tap until you redeploy). This is green doing recursion outside its usual lane, and it points at the same gap most enchantment-matters payoffs do: an environment willing to lean on enchantments as resources.
