Two effects most sweepers keep on separate cards, edicts and land destruction, are welded together here and split along the colors of your own board. Every black creature you control forces another sacrifice from the opponent's side; every red creature strips one of their lands. The token that resolves first is no accident: a 5/5 that is both black and red counts toward both tallies the instant it lands, so the spell seeds its own minimum payout. From there the math follows your build. An aristocrats board wide with black bodies turns this into a one-card Edict barrage; a creature base leaning red dismantles their mana and leaves a beater behind. Most mass removal commits to one axis and stays there, which is what makes this design genuinely strange: it attacks the opponent's creatures and their lands in a single resolution, with the ratio dictated by what you have already developed. The eight-mana price tag and the dependence on creatures you have kept alive are the brakes on it: the payoff scales only with a board you have managed to hold together, so it rewards a grind already won rather than a panic button. It is the closer for the slow Rakdos plan that wants to leave the opponent with no blockers, no lands, and a 5/5 staring them down.
