Deploy the Gatewatch

Sorcery4 generic manaWhite manaWhite mana

A six-mana sorcery that neither draws a planeswalker nor tutors for one: it digs seven deep and pays out only for what it happens to find, then buries the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order you do not get to arrange. That conditionality is the entire design. Connect on two and you have converted six mana into a pair of planeswalkers on an empty stack, a board swing few white cards can produce in one turn; whiff entirely and you have paid full retail to look at seven cards and shuffle the misses out of reach. The payoff scales not with your mana or your hand but with the raw density of walkers in your deck, which pulls list construction toward a top-heavy concentration that fights curve and consistency. It sits in a small lineage of "assemble the team" white payoffs built for planeswalker-stacked strategies, where the walker count has to climb high enough that a seven-card look reliably turns up bodies. The commitment is what unlocks the power: this is not a card you splash into a fair midrange shell, it is a card that asks you to warp the whole list so the dig connects. Outside that commitment it is a coin flip you overpaid for; inside it, it is the reason a superfriends deck has a top-end worth building toward at all.
