Decoction Module
One of the trio of energy-generating Modules, and the one built to convert tempo into fuel. Where other energy engines tax the battlefield or your draws, this one rewards the act of putting creatures down: every entry, not just the first, banks a counter, so token swarms and recursive creature decks fill the energy reservoir faster than the card's modest output suggests. The bounce ability is the half that ties the engine together. At four mana and a tap, returning your own creature to hand is not a tempo play; it is a deliberate reset that re-triggers any enters-the-battlefield ability and, crucially, hands you another energy counter when that creature replays. The loop is the point: bounce a value creature, recast it, collect twice. The energy it produces does nothing on its own, which is the structural choice that defines the whole Module cycle: it is a feeder mechanism, not a payoff, so its worth is entirely a function of what you have to spend energy on. Decoupling the generator from the spender is a clean way to build a resource that scales with deck construction rather than with a single card, and this is the piece that pays out for going wide and going recursive at the same time.
