Card advantage built on the assumption that creatures will die anyway. Where Phyrexian Arena charges life every upkeep without asking what is happening on the board, this version asks nothing but proof of carnage: if any creature died this turn, the draw is yours at the end step. The morbid condition is loose in exactly the way that matters. It checks whether a creature died at all, not whether the corpse is still around, so a token that evaporates, a chump block, a trade in combat, or a creature later scooped out of the graveyard all satisfy it just the same. In a black-green shell built to lose creatures by the truckload, the trigger is nearly free, and a four-mana permanent that quietly refills your hand every turn is a genuine engine. Folding the check into the end step rather than your upkeep is what makes it flexible: the draw lands after combat resolves, and a creature that dies on the opponent's turn still turns the gears. The single draw per turn keeps it from snowballing the way an uncapped engine would; it is a steady drip, not a flood, the rate that fits a grindy attrition plan rather than a combo finish. In a stalled board where nothing dies, it sits inert, a permanent that did nothing for its cost until the killing starts again.
