The snub is the negotiation. This sits in a thin tradition of group-game cards whose real text lives in the table talk rather than the type line: the strongest play is often to let it rest on the stack and watch everyone recalculate who is exposed and who owes whom. Aim it at your sole opponent in a duel and the spell collapses into a single 5/5 flier for six mana that comes home to you: not a self-own, just a dismal rate, and a clear tell about intent. The design wants three or more chairs, where giving away free 5/5s is a lever for steering politics rather than a gift, and it has never wanted to leave the casual multiplayer context it was built for.
