Dazzling Ramparts
Most defensive bodies in white earn their toughness and ask nothing further: a 0/7 is a roadblock, and a roadblock is all it is. This one converts that immovable mass into ongoing repression, paying to tap a creature at instant speed every turn it survives. The arithmetic is what makes it sting on the back foot: a single attacker neutralized before combat, every turn, while 7 toughness shrugs off most of what an aggressive board can throw at the wall itself. It can lock down a would-be blocker to push a swing through, or strand an opponent's biggest threat tapped on defense in perpetuity. The tap is a soft-removal lever that never runs out, which is a different role than the static defender the body suggests: pure walls contribute nothing while the opponent takes their turn, but this one does work on every turn of the game, not just yours. It kills nothing and closes no game by itself; what it does is pose the question a plain blocker never can, which is how long an opponent can afford to leave one creature out of the fight.
