The enchant clause is the whole bargain: this can only land on a creature that already wears another Aura, and that one restriction is what pays for a stat package that would be absurd on an unconditional two-mana Aura. First strike, vigilance, and lifelink stacked together turn the enchanted creature into a defensive and offensive wall at once: it attacks without lowering its guard, wins combat before the other creature swings back, and refunds life on every point of damage it deals. The +3/+3 then makes the lifelink swing genuinely large. Pairing it with a cheap, low-cost Aura (a hexproof-granting one being the classic enabler) produces a creature that is hard to remove, hard to block profitably, and hard to race.

The design tension is the same one every Voltron-style strategy lives with: the two-for-one risk. Stack two or more Auras on a single body and a single piece of removal answers all of them at once. Daybreak Coronet leans directly into that fragility, demanding you commit even harder to one creature in exchange for an outsized payoff. It is the reward at the end of the gamble, not the safe play. That conditional cost has kept it anchored in dedicated Aura strategies for years: dead in hand until the prerequisite is met, then a massive return for two white mana.
