Daxos's Torment

Constellation usually rewards a board you have already built: a counter here, a drain there, incremental value off each enchantment that lands. This design inverts the relationship. The trigger does not accrue a small effect; it flips the permanent itself into a 5/5 flier with haste, then hands it all back at end of turn. The tension is that the card wants to be two things at once: a stable enchantment anchoring your other constellation payoffs, and a clock that swings in for five out of nowhere. You cannot have both in the same turn cycle without feeding it, because every enchantment you play recharges the attack, which means the shell that runs it most happily is one already saturated with cheap enchantments, the same shell powering the rest of the constellation engine. The haste is doing more than it looks: the body exists only on the turn an enchantment enters, so there is no window for an opponent to answer a sleeping creature. It is either a 5/5 attacking right now or an enchantment with no power at all. A manland dodges sorcery-speed removal by reverting between attacks, but it still chooses when to animate and can commit to combat on a naked turn. This one cannot: its animation is chained to your own development, so it stays dormant until the exact moment you deploy another enchantment, then goes inert the instant the turn ends. The finisher and the fuel are the same action.
