Dauthi Ghoul

A growth engine wired entirely into shadow's closed combat ecosystem. Shadow is an evasion keyword that walls itself off: creatures with it interact in combat only with their own kind, which means a shadow deck plays out as a self-contained skirmish running parallel to the normal board. This card turns the attrition inside that skirmish into fuel, growing every time any shadow creature on either side dies. The design logic is elegant because it solves shadow's own weakness. A tribe of small unblockable bodies trading into each other tends to grind both players down to topdecks; here, the trades feed a single threat that gets bigger precisely when the mirror or the race is at its most lethal. The counter accrual is symmetric in trigger but asymmetric in payoff: opposing shadow creatures dying still pump it, so it punishes the very interaction that would otherwise answer it. The fragile body keeps the payoff honest, since the trigger only matters once the board is already committed to the shadow plan. Outside that ecosystem the trigger goes dead, but the body never goes vanilla: shadow makes it an unblockable threat that ordinary creatures cannot stop, and that it cannot stop in return. That is the point. This is a payoff card, built to reward a deck that has bought all the way into shadow rather than a generically efficient two-drop splashing one keyword.
