Daru Healer
Damage prevention has always been white's quietest knob, and this version turns it into a slow drip: tap, shave one point off whatever's coming, repeat next turn. One per turn caps it well below the wholesale prevention of a Fog or a Circle of Protection, which is the point. It isn't meant to neutralize a turn, only to outlast it, blunting a single attacker over many combats or surviving the last point of a burn spell. The real design lives in the morph cost. A 1/2 that prevents exactly one damage announces its entire function the moment it hits the board; cast hidden, it looks like any anonymous 2/2 the opponent can't profile, and flipping it up for one white mana mid-combat lets the prevention arrive as an ambush. That window is the only reason a body this minor earned a morph cost: the cleric's value isn't the rate, it's the information it withholds. Morph as a mechanic was built around precisely this uncertainty, creatures whose hidden form bought a turn of doubt, and Daru Healer is a clean, low-stakes expression of that bluff. On most boards the prevention is a footnote; the face-down ambiguity is the thing it's really selling.
