A wall whose only trick is that it cannot be knocked down. The body does nothing on offense and almost nothing on defense beyond existing, but indestructible on a 0/1 means it survives every burn spell, every fight, most wraths, every "destroy target creature," and keeps coming back to soak the next attacker. That single point of toughness is the catch the keyword does not cover: anything that reduces toughness to zero (a -1/-1 effect, a minus to defense) still kills it, which is why the indestructible reminder text spells the exception out. Most chump blockers are disposable by design; this one is the opposite, a permanent speed bump that asks an opponent to find toughness-based removal or simply attack around it. The strategic value lives entirely in that durability against the most common removal in the game, and in the artifact type for decks that count metalcraft, sacrifice fodder that never sacrifices itself to combat, or affinity-style enablers. It is not a threat and never pretends to be one; it is a cheap, recurring nuisance that turns the usual board-clearing math against the player trying to clear the board.
