Curse of Misfortunes

The payoff that justifies an entire Curse subtheme. On its own a single Curse is a glacial threat, a tax on one opponent that does its damage in trickles; the design problem is that a deck full of them is too clunky to assemble piece by piece. This is the answer: a tutor that fetches the rest of the package and staples it to the same victim, one Curse per upkeep, building a stacked column of misery on a single player without ever asking you to draw the pieces in order. The constraint that keeps it from looping a single effect is the name clause, which forces variety: each fetch must be a Curse not already attached to that player, so the engine demands breadth in the deckbuilding rather than redundancy. The result is a snowball that accelerates as it runs, because each Curse it lands is itself another upkeep trigger's worth of value already on the battlefield. The body of work it can chain into ranges from the punishing to the merely annoying, but the structural idea is what matters: a search-and-attach engine that turns a slow, scattered archetype into a deterministic assembly line, provided you survive the turns it takes to set up. It is less a card than a thesis statement for playing Curses as a deck rather than as one-off pinpricks.
