Reanimation on a delay, sold as insurance rather than value. Most black recursion answers a creature that has already died: you play the loop after the fact, from the graveyard. This inverts the timing. You spend the mana and the tap while the target is still alive, pre-registering a return trigger that only cashes out if the creature dies before end of turn. That window is the whole design. It rewards you for reading the board and blessing the creature you expect to trade or get killed, turning a favorable block or a spot-removal spell into a wash. The creature comes back tapped, so there is no instant re-block or immediate attack, and the trigger evaporates if the target survives, so it is not a free rebate on every combat. Scoped to another artifact creature you control, it wants a wide mechanical army rather than a single bomb, which is exactly the kind of expendable robotic swarm its faction fields. The 3/3 body carries real weight in this reading: it is a durable blocker that can bless something else out of a trade but never itself, so the ability always points outward. Read it as a persist effect you aim manually and pay for up front, trading the automatic reliability of graveyard recursion for the ability to choose which death you undo.
