Elf-tribal payoffs that want a scaling anvil to swing games have every reason to be wary of an Aura doing the job, which is exactly why the recursion clause here matters more than the buff. Return this card from your graveyard for a modest cost, and the two-for-one math inverts: kill the enchanted creature and you have traded your removal for a body, while the Aura simply comes back to be reapplied. The lord-style scaling (a running count of your Elves, converted into a flat power-and-toughness bonus and reach) rewards a wide board the way any anthem does, but stapling that to a recurring object gives the tribe a pump that shrugs off spot removal, which is the design decision that makes an Aura defensible in a deck that plans to grind. Reach is the quiet inclusion, since a green ground army swelled by tribal numbers still folds to a single flier without it. None of this makes the card fast; the buff is only as large as the board you have already committed, and the whole thing sits at the mercy of a sweeper that would have cost you the Elves anyway. But as a way to give a tribal engine a recurring finisher that survives spot removal, the graveyard hook is the part worth building around.
