Council Guardian

The voting mechanic turns a 5/5 body into something stranger: a protection grant whose color is chosen by the whole table, you first, and the immunity always lands on the Guardian itself. White already excels at naming its own protection on the fly (Mother of Runes, Gods Willing, and Brave the Elements all let a single player pick the color), but those are unilateral. Here the decision is wrested away from the controller and handed to a vote, with the controller's ballot cast first. Note the ballot's limits: the vote runs across blue, black, red, or green, never white, so a board built on white removal answers the Guardian regardless of how the room votes. Because ties count, a table that splits its ballots can hand the Guardian protection from two or three colors at once, which is the political tension the card is built around: nobody wants to be the voter whose color it can no longer touch, so the ballots scatter and the Guardian walks away immune to more than any single player intended. Casting the first ballot matters most in two-player play, where you simply name whichever of the four colors threatens you most and a creature they can no longer block, target, or burn marches in. The body is plain and the six-mana cost is steep, but the whole payoff lives in the enters-the-battlefield vote: a room negotiating a ballot it has every incentive to mismanage.
