Constant Mists
A normal Fog is an emergency button: useful once, then dead weight in your hand once the moment has passed. Bolt recursion onto a land sacrifice and the math changes entirely, because the prevention becomes a repeatable lock that costs you a land per turn and two mana to recast. The land you bury each time is the natural governor on the engine: against a clock you cannot otherwise beat, you can stall combat indefinitely, but you do it by feeding your own manabase into the grave, so the lock has a built-in expiration measured in lands. That tension (perpetual safety paid for with your own resources) is the whole design. It converts a reactive trick into a grindy attrition piece, one that rewards decks able to refill or reuse the lands they throw away rather than decks simply trying to survive a single turn. The construction reframes what damage prevention can be: not a one-time panic answer, but a resource you spend down on purpose, turn after turn, until the manabase runs out or the threat does.
