Commander's Authority

Enchantment — Aura4 generic manaWhite mana

Five mana for an Aura that returns nothing until your next turn is a rate built for an era that prized board presence over speed. The math is slow by design: the enchanted creature has to survive to your next upkeep before a single token appears, and because the trigger keys off your upkeeps rather than a fixed count, removing or bouncing the host resets the whole investment to zero. What you buy is a recurring token engine welded onto a body you already control instead of a standalone permanent, and that convenience is exactly what makes it so easy to undo: kill the creature, kill the factory. The upside compounds, though. Every one of your upkeeps that the host lives through adds another Human, turning one threat into a widening row without further mana. Where you hang it is the only real decision. A creature with vigilance or evasion keeps attacking while the tokens pile up behind it; a hexproof or indestructible target converts the Aura from a removal magnet into something durable enough to run away with the game. It belongs to a family of slow value enchantments that ask you to absorb a tempo deficit in exchange for an engine that never empties, the same bargain white and green token-makers like Verdant Embrace struck in the years when grindy board-building was the dominant idiom.
