Circle of the Land Druid

Creature — Gnome Druid1 generic manaGreen mana

The self-mill on a 1/1 body is the tell that this was built to feed a graveyard, not to fill a curve, and the death trigger is what fuses the two halves into a loop. Mill four when it lands, then die and rebuy a land: the same body pulls back a fetch, a value land, or a land that was never supposed to sit in the yard at all. That death clause makes it a recursion engine rather than a single value spike, since anything that keeps sacrificing and rebuying the creature keeps returning lands, and the enters-mill quietly restocks the graveyard with fresh targets each pass. The fragility is load-bearing: a 1/1 that gladly trades or chumps is exactly what the design wants, because the creature's job is to reach the yard, not to survive on the board. Where similar effects hand you a body that happens to reload a land as a bonus, this one leans entirely on the death step to do the work, with the mill priming the yard so the return trigger always has fuel. It rewards a build that treats lands as recurring resources and creatures as fodder, and its ceiling lives in how many times you can send it to the graveyard and get it back.
