Chitinous Graspling
Changeling is a mechanic that lives or dies on the body it's stapled to, since every creature type in the world means nothing if the card can't sit on the battlefield doing tribal work. This one solves that with a stat line built to hold ground: a 3/4 with reach is a genuine blocker, the kind of body that trades up against fliers and stonewalls the two- and three-power ground creatures that tribal aggro leans on. That matters because a changeling's job is often to be the flexible extra body a synergy deck can always play, and a fragile one gets chumped or bolted before it earns its keywords. The hybrid pip in the cost is the other half of the design: it lets the card serve two tribal shells at once, answering to green ramp-and-swarm builds and blue tempo-fliers alike without committing the mana base to either. The result is a changeling built less as a combo enabler and more as connective tissue, the creature that counts as an Elf, a Goblin, a Merfolk, and a Faerie all at once while actually surviving to be counted. Reach is the tell for how it's meant to be used: not as a beater but as a wall that happens to belong to every tribe on the table.
