Charging Strifeknight

Creature — Spirit Knight2 generic manaRed mana

The looter has traditionally been blue's job: Merfolk Looter set the template, a body that trades one card in hand for one off the top, filtering toward whatever your deck actually wants. Putting that engine on a red three-drop with a haste-relevant body changes what the effect is for. Blue loots to dig for answers and stall; a hasty 3/3 that also loots wants to empty its hand into the graveyard and keep the beats coming, which is exactly the plan red aggro and spellslinger decks are already running. The rate is the honest part of the design: one activation costs the tap, so the body cannot attack and filter in the same turn, and each draw is paid for with a card you were happy to pitch. That tension is what keeps a repeatable card-selection engine on a swinging 3/3 from being oppressive. Discarding a card to draw a card is card-neutral, not card advantage, so the value lives entirely in what the discard enables: fueling delve or flashback, ditching a dead land, or setting up whatever the graveyard cares about. It is a rummager grafted onto a clock, which is a quietly novel place to put an ability this old.
