Chandra's Ignition
The whole spell is a single redirect: it takes the power of one creature you control and fires that number at everything else on the board, your own creatures included. That last word is the catch the card never lets you forget. "Each other creature" means your board burns too, so the obvious go-wide payoff is a trap; point a 5-power attacker at a field of your own tokens and you have detonated your own side along with theirs. The math only works when your chosen source dwarfs everything around it, which steers the card toward a single oversized threat surrounded by survivors: indestructible creatures, things with high toughness, or a board you have deliberately emptied except for the cannon. The opponent clause is what lifts it past sweeper into reach, converting one big body into a Fireball aimed at every opponent at once, which is why it slots most naturally into decks that already lean on a lone, enormous threat to close. The design tension is genuine: the bigger your designated source, the more devastating both halves become, but you pay for that ceiling in the constraint that you cannot insulate your own board without building around it. It is a sorcery for the deck that has committed to one creature being far larger than everything else in play, and wants a single card that clears blockers, punishes a crowded opposing board, and points lethal at faces in the same resolution.
