Caterwauling Boggart

Creature — Goblin Shaman3 generic manaRed mana

Most red evasion is rented: a creature gets a temporary boost, swings, and the keyword evaporates by the next combat. This Goblin Shaman flips that economy by handing menace to two whole creature classes at once, as a static effect that never expires. The result is a tax on the defender's board math: a wide Goblin assault the opponent could chump-block evenly suddenly demands two blockers per attacker, which most boards cannot sustain. The body that carries the anthem is incidental; the value lives entirely in turning a horizontal swarm into a force that gets through. Menace is the right keyword for that job, more so than flying or fear, because it scales with the count of attackers rather than the quality of any single one: every additional Goblin you commit widens the gap between attackers and available double-blocks. The Elemental clause looks like an afterthought next to the Goblin tribe, but it reflects the design instinct of its era to wire those two creature types together, so a deck splicing Goblins and Elementals gets the keyword across both halves of its curve. As a lord it is narrow, doing nothing for a board without the right creature types, but for a tribe built to flood the board it converts raw quantity into hard-to-block pressure.
