Cateran Brute

A mid-rung link in the Mercenary recruitment chain, the body that turns one activation into a cascade of deployments. Tap it, pay two, and fetch any Mercenary with mana value two or less; because the search target is frequently another tutor, each pull feeds the next, a chain of recruiters reaching down the curve until a single activation has assembled a board out of nothing. That cascading-tutor structure defines the tribe: cheaper creatures recruit cheaper ones still, and the tapped body plus two mana per use is the tax that keeps the loop from being free. The mana-value ceiling is the real constraint: capping the fetch at two or less means this can never reach up and pull a finisher directly, only continue building the line. It pays a genuine price (a fragile 2/2 and a slow, mana-hungry activation) in exchange for manufacturing an army through repeated taps. The Horror creature type is decoration; the Mercenary line and the tutor clause are the whole machine, and this is the workhorse that grinds the chain together rather than the payoff that ends the game.
