Carnage Tyrant

Creature — Dinosaur4 generic manaGreen manaGreen mana

Three layers of protection on one body, and the stacking is the whole design argument. Hexproof keeps it off your opponent's spot-removal targets; the uncounterable clause walls off the control answer that hexproof can't reach; trample means the gang-block that's left can't simply chump it into irrelevance. Each line covers the gap the previous one leaves open, so by the time the 7/6 resolves, the conventional toolkit a midrange or control deck reaches for is mostly inert against it. That deliberate redundancy is also the cost: six mana, two of them green, with no evasion beyond trample and no value stapled to the body. It does one thing, asks almost nothing of the cards around it, and dares the opponent to find the narrow class of answers that still work (board wipes, edicts, blockers big enough to eat seven). It is the green ramp payoff engineered specifically to beat the decks that prey on green ramp payoffs: the haymaker that survives the counterspell and the kill spell, leaving only the sweeper, which a ramp deck is built to outpace anyway. The Dinosaur tag is incidental flavor; the function is a green finisher built as a referendum on reactive interaction, and it has stood as the template every "resilient threat" green ramp reaches for ever since.
