Captain America, Steve Rogers
Attack triggers that hand out +1/+1 counters are old hat; the wrinkle here is what rides along with the counter. Every swing pumps a chosen teammate and grants it indestructible until end of turn, which folds a permanent stat bump and a temporary combat shield into the same attack step. Because that indestructible clause fires when you attack, its window is your own combat: it covers the protected creature against blocker damage and any destroy-based removal cast during your turn, and it clears the way for a suicidal attacker you intend to send into a lethal trade or push through a damage-based removal spell. What it will not do is answer a sorcery-speed board wipe on the opponent's turn, since the immunity has already worn off; the trigger is offensive insurance, not a standing defensive layer. The lifelink on a 4/4 body is the quiet stabilizer underneath all of it, a life floor that lets the counter-and-shield engine grind rather than race. Structurally this is a squad captain: a design that wants a wide board of small creatures worth buffing and worth escorting through combat, where each of them is another valid target and the single attack trigger compounds across turns. It converts every swing into one permanent counter plus one turn's worth of immunity, and asks only that you keep attacking to keep the value flowing.
