Canoptek Wraith
An unblockable 2/1 whose whole reason for existing is the second clause: connect in combat and you get to eat the body for ramp. The two abilities are engineered to feed each other. Wraith Form isn't decoration, it is the delivery mechanism, because the sacrifice trigger only fires when the creature hits a player face-first, and an evasive body guarantees that connection lands on the attack of your choosing. What follows is a self-cannibalizing trade: pay on top of the mana you already spent, sacrifice the creature, and pull two more basics matching a land you already control. Note what that ramp is and isn't. It is not fixing: you have to already have that basic on the battlefield to copy its name, so the trigger extends a color you're playing rather than opening a new one, and it wants a basic-heavy manabase to have a land worth doubling. It also arrives tapped, so the payoff is deferred a turn beyond the mana and the attack. The honest tension is that the same combat step advancing your board is the one that ends the creature making it possible. Every trigger is a fork: keep the recurring poke, or cash it once for a burst of same-name basics and accept being a body down for the trouble.
