Callous Sell-Sword // Burn Together
Fling with a fixed sequencing rule and a delayed body attached, sold as one printing. Burn Together, the half, redirects a creature's power at any target and then eats it, turning an expendable body into removal or reach at the exact moment you were going to sacrifice it anyway. You cast that half first, and because it is an Adventure it exiles rather than going to the graveyard, keeping Callous Sell-Sword on ice until you pay
to deploy the 2/2 later. The order is locked: the payoff resolves now, the threat lands after, and you cannot ever Fling the Sell-Sword with its own spell. When the body does arrive, it tallies every creature that died under your control that turn, the one Burn Together just consumed included if you fire both halves in a single turn, so a game spent trading bodies for effects sizes it into a real clock. The whole package costs three mana across two casts (
then
), and the split is deliberate: spend a creature for damage first, then cash the accumulated carnage into a body scaled to it. It is a two-card aristocrats engine (the sacrifice outlet and the counter-fed payoff) folded into a single card, built for a deck already committed to treating its own creatures as ammunition.
