Callous Giant
Damage prevention usually lives on white cards or burns out as a one-shot protective spell; bolting it onto a red Giant's body as a permanent, passive shield is the unusual move. The effect rewrites how every small attacker and burn spell reads against it: a Shock, an Incinerate, a 2/2's swing, all of it bounces off, and only damage of four or more leaves a mark. That makes a vanilla-sized 4/4 into a body that demands real investment to kill, the kind of attrition tax red rarely gets to levy from the front. The prevention is a flat threshold rather than a scaling one, which gives the design its clean shape: it grows more relevant the smaller the threats around it and evaporates entirely against the big swings, so the creature dominates skirmishes without becoming unkillable. This is a Giant built to grind out the ground war against a swarm of nuisances rather than to trade blows with another fattie, and that narrow but real durability is what marks it out among the pile of six-mana 4/4s that read identically on the type line.
