Green rarely gets to fill its graveyard on purpose, and when it does the mill is almost always a means, not an end. Here the four cards go to the bin at instant speed, and the payoff is a targeted dig: any single permanent card among them comes back to hand, which turns a self-mill into a filtered draw that reaches lands, creatures, and artifacts alike while leaving instants and sorceries behind as graveyard fuel. That instant-speed window is the quiet part doing the heavy lifting; hold it up as an end-of-turn dig, or fire it in response to a shuffle effect to reset what you are looking at. The Squirrel clause is the reward that ties the card to its tribe without stranding it: recover a Squirrel or already control one, and the Food token drops as a bonus, giving the effect a foothold in both a creature-type strategy and a sacrifice-fed value shell. The single-permanent limit is what keeps it from being pure card advantage: you choose one of the four to save, and the rest stay buried, so wanting a graveyard, not just a fuller hand, is the whole premise. It is a small, deliberate piece of green's ongoing negotiation with self-mill, letting the color loot without pretending to be blue.
