Cabal Evangel
A 2/2 for two with no keyword and no rider, the plainest shape black has been printing since the earliest sets. The vanilla two-drop is one of the oldest bodies in the game, a fixed point designers return to whenever a set needs a floor for its common creatures, and this one adds nothing above that floor: no menace, no deathtouch, no enters-the-battlefield trigger to distinguish it from any other bear-sized black creature. The only mechanical hook is its creature types, which stay dormant unless something outside the card cares about Human or Cleric. That is the whole of it. There is no engine to build around, no window it exploits, no era in which a vanilla two-drop with a tribal tag was scarce enough to make it stand out. It exists to occupy a body on turn two and trade with the small creatures across from it. Honest filler, and nothing more.
