The clock is the whole trick here: the returned permanents had to leave the battlefield for the graveyard this same turn, which turns this from a resurrection spell into an undo button. Sacrifice a pair of creatures to a payoff, then bring them back at instant speed to reset every enters-the-battlefield trigger and refuse the drawback of the sacrifice. Point it at your own fetchland after cracking it and you have replayed the land, tapped, for two white. The tapped clause and the same-turn window are what keep it from being general-purpose reanimation: it cannot pull a creature that died three turns ago, and whatever comes back arrives tapped, unable to block until your next untap. Its cleanest use is board-wipe insurance, but the ceiling is set by the card itself: it recovers up to two of the permanents that just hit the graveyard, not the whole board. Once a sweeper has fully resolved, your best two are exactly the ones this can retrieve, and they are back before your opponent takes another turn to press the advantage. That timing is the crux: you are not stopping the sweeper, you are answering it after the fact, spending two mana to salvage two permanents from a pile of losses. It rewards deliberate sacrifice and blunts an opponent's removal on the same axis, which makes it read less like recursion and more like a same-turn insistence that your two best things do not stay dead.
