Myriad multiplied by a draw rider is a math problem that only resolves at a crowded table. Because the token copies are exact duplicates, each one carries the combat-damage trigger too, and combat damage is dealt well before the end-of-combat step that exiles them. So every clone that connects draws a card just like the original does. The real question is how many of the bodies actually get through. Against three opponents, one attack spawns two extra tapped-and-attacking Snakes, each pointed at a different player; opponents cannot collectively block everything without overcommitting, and any lane they leave open pays you. That is the strategic shape: the original is the seed, but the draw scales with how many of the temporary copies survive the swing rather than with the Viper alone. The fragility is what balances it. A five-mana 3/3 dies to almost anything and loses ordinary combats it should win, so the engine demands an attack step where the table is split too many ways to answer all of it. The "for each opponent" clause is doing the structural lifting. Strip the extra seats away and you are left with a slow draw-on-damage creature whose single trigger has to grind through a defender one swing at a time; add seats and the same attack fans into a wide, card-drawing threat that forces every player to make a defensive choice at once. The card scales with the room, not the board.
