Two enchantment abilities that only cohere in a Spirits deck, and they read like a design brief for turning a tribe of small evasive fliers into a controlling instant-speed threat. The first line collapses the divide between sorcery-speed board development and reactive play: your Spirits can be held up like counterspells and deployed on the opponent's end step, so the deck stops committing to the board on its own turn and starts building it during everyone else's. The second line is what makes that shift pay off. Cast any creature spell on an opponent's turn (which the first ability now lets your Spirits do freely) and you tap down a blocker or an attacker, converting each flash-in into a soft Falter or a defensive Icy Manipulator effect. Together they push a fragile flyers strategy toward a tempo posture it could not reach on its own: play on the opponents' clocks, tax their combat math, and let a wide board of evasive bodies close while they are perpetually a step behind. It is a narrow build-around by design, largely inert in any deck without a way to cast creatures on opposing turns, but inside that shell it changes the axis the whole deck operates on rather than just adding a trigger.
