The pairing of flash and reach on a green body is quieter than it looks: this is a creature built to punish attackers who commit before the second main phase. Flash lets it materialize once blockers matter, and reach means the thing it ambushes can just as easily be a flier as a ground creature. Green's flash creatures are the color's stand-in for the instant-speed removal it does not otherwise get: rather than kill a threat outright, it holds up a blocker that trades with something it should not be able to reach, then sticks around as a body afterward. The 3/2 line is doing deliberate work here. It blocks into the two- and three-power range that most early attackers live in and lands alongside the flash cost without asking to be built around. What keeps the card honest is that its whole value lives in the surprise; played face-up on your own turn, it is a vanilla reach body, and any opponent who declines to commit to combat robs it of the ambush entirely. That conditional payoff, held mana traded for a favorable block that flying creatures cannot dodge, is the entire pitch, and it is a role green fills at common far more often than it fills with genuine removal.
