Green Equipment is a small category by design, because green's identity leans on creatures growing themselves rather than metal doing the work. This piece squares that circle by making the growth conditional on aggression: the counters only land when the equipped creature attacks, so it never buffs a wall or a blocker sitting home. Four counters per swing is a steep curve; the second attack alone puts the wearer at eight power over baseline, and because +1/+1 counters are permanent, an attacker that survives a swing keeps every point it earned. That permanence is the real lever. A trample creature carrying this becomes a clock that accelerates each turn it attacks, and the equip cost gets paid once while the payoff compounds. The obvious tension is fragility: sink the equip cost, swing, and eat a removal spell, and you have committed real mana into a creature the counters cannot save from destruction. But the flip side is that a single unanswered attack turns any body into a threat the opponent has to deal with immediately, and if it survives, the equipment can jump to the next attacker without losing what the first one banked (well, the counters stay behind, but the engine moves on). It is a straightforward reward for committing to the red zone, the kind of blunt, attack-triggered escalation green gets to have precisely because it does the growing through combat rather than through the artifact itself.
