Bonder's Ornament

Artifact3 generic mana

The any-color mana rock at three is a shape with a dozen interchangeable cousins; the second ability is where the design turns strange. It pays out to each player who controls a permanent named Bonder's Ornament, one card apiece, and that phrasing is the whole point: the draw is keyed to control of the name, not to how many copies sit on a battlefield, so a player who has hoarded two of them draws exactly as much as the player who has one. The mechanic rewards distribution, not accumulation. Played alone, it is a slow, self-contained card outlet stapled to a fixing source, four mana every activation for a single card. Played into a table where several people independently decided the same rock was worth a slot, it inverts how mana fixing usually behaves: instead of one player quietly pulling ahead, everyone holding the name refills at once, and any of them can pull the lever. That symmetry is the friction. The activation is steep enough that firing it hands your opponents the same card you paid for, which turns a private engine into a negotiation about who gains most from a group draw. It is multiplayer-symmetry design at its most literal, wording that gains a second axis only when the fixing has spread wide enough that pulling the trigger stops being a solo decision.
