Mill stapled to a green two-drop reads like a color-pie oddity until the trigger resolves: the graveyard is incidental, and the real work is a self-smoothing enters dig with a fallback that can never whiff. Look three cards deep, and the payoff branches on what shows up. Find a land and you choose which shortfall to answer: pull it for fixing, or decline and grow the body instead. Find no land and there is no decision at all, since the growth happens automatically, so the trigger still advances the board rather than fizzling. That absence of a dead outcome is the tidy part. Most cheap creatures with a dig attached carry a genuine blank mode, a resolution that hands you nothing you needed; this one never does. When a land turns up, the pilot picks between mana and muscle; when one does not, the creature quietly gets larger regardless. The three cards now sitting in the yard are a real bonus for graveyard-hungry decks, though smoothing drives the design and the fuel arrives as a side effect. The build folds a fixing piece and a beater into one slot, with the split between the two settled partly by what the deck is missing and partly by whatever the dig happens to surrender.
