The metalcraft trigger does the entire job of this design: hit the artifact threshold and a plain 3/3 arrives as a hasty 6/6, swinging for six the turn it lands. Miss the threshold and you have paid four mana for a body that does nothing meaningful, which is exactly the bargain the mechanic was built around. Metalcraft as a keyword always asked the deck to commit to artifacts before turn four; this card is a clean expression of the all-or-nothing math, with no consolation prize for falling one artifact short. The temporary nature of the buff matters too: the +3/+3 and haste both fade at end of turn, so the reward is front-loaded into a single alpha strike rather than a permanent threat. That pushes it toward decks that want to close fast, where a surprise six points and immediate combat presence ends games that a slow grinder cannot. It is a payoff piece, not an enabler, and it punishes a board that has stalled out on noncreature artifacts rather than rewarding incremental value. Whether the body comes down as a haymaker or a dead four-drop hinges entirely on how reliably a deck can guarantee three artifacts by the time it casts a four-drop, the same question every metalcraft card asks, answered here with a single decisive swing rather than a steady drip of value.
