Bjorna, Nightfall Alchemist
Goad is a red-white political mechanic at heart, so wiring it onto an Izzet artifact-fueled body is the sort of cross-guild splice that only a supplemental design would attempt. The pinger frame is the recognizable part: tap, feed it an artifact, ping something for one. But the payload is not the damage, it is the goad rider that comes stapled to every activation. A single point of damage rarely swings a board; forcing that creature to attack someone else next combat rewrites the turn cycle for a whole pod. What balances the trick is the artifact tax: each activation eats a permanent, so the engine only hums in a deck built to manufacture cheap Treasure, Clue, or Food tokens faster than it spends them. That gives the 1/3 body a clear architecture around it: a sacrifice-fueled political value shell that survives combat it never has to participate in. Friends forever is the other half of the identity, letting the pairing pick any two Friends forever commanders regardless of guild, and encouraging the kind of curated two-commander build that turns Bjorna into an engine piece rather than a headliner. It is a card that thinks in terms of who your opponents attack, not who you kill, and the artifact fuel is the price of steering that many combats at once.
