Biomathematician

Creature — Human Wizard1 generic manaGreen manaBlue mana

Fractals arrive as 0/0 blanks and depend entirely on counters to exist, and this is the piece that hands them a reliable, repeatable source without spending a card each time. The entry trigger both creates the token and distributes a +1/+1 counter across every Fractal you control, including the fresh one: the new token resolves as a 1/1 before state-based actions are ever checked, so nothing dies waiting for help. That single resolution is where the design does its work. A lone Fractal grows by one; a board of three all grow together, which quietly changes what the card is for. It is built to reward the second and third Fractal rather than the first, a subtler counter payoff than most, and the 2/2 body is deliberately incidental to that math. The engine is not passive, though: the ability keys off Biomathematician itself entering, not off other Simic creatures, so the way you extract repeat value is to send it back and replay it. Bounce it, blink it, and the whole board takes another counter, each iteration widening the spread across a growing set of tokens. What reads as a modest value creature is really the anchor of a counters-matter shell that wants to go wide first and grow tall second, with the caster as a renewable pump rather than a one-shot.
