Bioessence Hydra
The payoff for a deck that thinks in loyalty rather than counters-on-creatures. Where most +1/+1-counter engines grow a creature by triggering it directly, this one converts a resource that already accrues on a separate axis: every tick of loyalty you add, whether from a planeswalker's plus ability, a proliferate effect, or an activated ability that grows a walker, mirrors onto the body as raw power and toughness. The scaling is symmetrical to whatever your walkers are already doing, so a board that would normally sit behind static loyalty gains suddenly has a trampling clock riding along for free. The entry clause front-loads the reward: drop it after your walkers have ticked up a few turns and it arrives already enormous, since it counts existing loyalty on the way in rather than starting from base and waiting. Trample is the piece that keeps the design from stalling out, turning a runaway counter total into damage that chump blocks cannot absorb. The design sits at the intersection of two mechanics that rarely share a payoff, and it rewards the specific kind of board (multiple walkers, proliferate, loyalty manipulation) that a superfriends shell is already assembling for other reasons. It does not build that shell on its own; it cashes in the loyalty that shell generates, which is a narrower and more honest role than a generic beater.
