Most -3/-3 removal aims at one body and one body only; this one reads creature names off the battlefield and erases every copy at once. The clause "all other creatures with the same name" turns a clean two-mana kill spell into a tribal sweeper whenever the table is fielding tokens or redundant nonlegendaries: a board of identical insect tokens, a pile of saproling chaff, or three of the same one-drop all fold to a single casting. The -3/-3 figure is the cap on that power. It clears a wide field of small things but leaves anything with four toughness standing, so the card is a precision instrument against go-wide strategies rather than a universal answer. It also folds in legend-rule logic from the opposite direction: against a deck running a named creature as a four-of, the spell punishes the very redundancy that makes those decks consistent. Black has always had instant-speed -X/-X effects for handling indestructibility and regeneration, but pricing a token-sweep into the same slot is the wrinkle here. The math stays honest because the bonus only materializes when the names line up; against a singleton board it is a slightly overcosted single-target shrink, and against a token engine it is a blowout. That conditional swing, from modest to backbreaking depending entirely on what your opponent chose to flood the board with, is what separates it from the dozen other two-mana black kill spells it otherwise resembles.
