Bellowing Aegisaur

Creature — Dinosaur5 generic manaWhite mana

Enrage usually reads as a deterrent: hit my creature and something bad happens to you. This one inverts the logic. Damage to the Aegisaur doesn't punish the attacker so much as reward you, distributing a +1/+1 counter across every other creature you control. That makes the 3/5 body deliberate rather than disappointing: five toughness invites blocks and bites that don't kill it, and each survived hit grows your whole board a step wider. The most efficient pilots stop waiting for combat to trigger it and start pinging it on their own terms, since the ability only asks that damage be dealt, not that the source be an enemy. A point of self-inflicted damage from any source turns into a teamwide pump, and the Aegisaur shrugs it off with toughness to spare. The design tension is the gap between its modest stats and the engine hidden behind them: nothing about a six-mana 3/5 announces a snowball, which is exactly why the counters keep accruing while opponents weigh whether attacking into it is worth the buff they hand you. It rewards going wide, because each trigger scales with the number of bodies already on the table, and it rewards a deck that can deal small, repeatable damage to its own side without losing anything for the privilege.
