Skulk is a keyword built to feel like a creature slipping past the line, and granting it to your whole board converts that flavor into an evasion engine: every small attacker becomes unblockable against anything bigger than it, which is most of what a slower deck wants to keep at home. That is the half of this card people remember. The activated ability is the part that explains why it costs two colors of identity to run. The anthem here is gated behind white mana, even though the enchantment itself is mono-black, which means the card only realizes its full plan inside an Orzhov shell that can both deploy the bodies and pump them through. The friction is deliberate: pumping the team raises everyone's power, and skulk keys off the attacker's power relative to the blocker, so each +1/+1 swing actually widens the band of creatures that can now wall your team. You are trading evasion for size, turn by turn, and the optimal line often means choosing not to activate so the small things stay small. It is an unusual two-axis design for an uncommon enchantment: a passive ability that wants your creatures tiny and an activated ability that makes them large, set against each other on the same card so that the pilot, not the card, decides which mode the board is in.
