Bay Falcon

Creature — Bird1 generic manaBlue mana

Vigilance is the entire reason this exists. Strip it away and you have a generic two-mana evader, but the second keyword changes the posture of the body completely: it can pressure the air on your turn without giving up its block on the next, so the awkward choice between racing and staying safe never comes up. The 1/1 frame never threatens to end a game by itself, which means the card earns its slot as a tempo piece that asks nothing of you defensively while still applying pressure overhead. It is a deliberately modest expression of an evergreen idea: an attacker that never has to pick a side smooths out the turns where you want to chip in but cannot afford to leave the ground open. The fragility is the price for that flexibility. One toughness puts the Bird inside the range of nearly any removal spell and most combat math, so it lives and dies on the windows where a flying, vigilant body is worth a card rather than a liability. Read it less as a creature you build around and more as a load-bearing two-drop for a blue deck that values incremental air damage and clean defense over raw board impact.
