Barony Vampire

Strictly vanilla: a 3/2 for three with not a single word in the text box, and that emptiness is the assignment. Bodies like this are the calibration weight of a color's common slate, the known quantity designers reach for when they need to anchor the curve and price the rarer cards around it. A 3/2 trades up against most two-drops, folds to nearly every burn spell, and rarely survives a block into anything larger: it exists to attack, to absorb a removal spell that would rather hit something more threatening, and to mark what an unenhanced black three-drop is worth before any text gets added. The Vampire type is the only thing it carries forward, a structural hook for the tribal payoffs printed alongside it rather than anything this creature does on its own. No decision lives inside it and no trick hides in the text box, which is precisely why a pack wants one creature built this plainly: a baseline against which every other body in the color gets measured.
